Special Pop-up Restaurant at The Back Abbey on March 9th
Sunday evening, March 9th, 2014 The Back Abbey is offering a rare opportunity that doesn’t pop-up very often. We are simply thrilled to bring this inspired experience to Claremont and The Back Abbey.
Guest Chef Mark Tagnipez of XIV, Spago, and Red Med restaurants is joined by Guest Pastry Chef David Rodriguez, also of XIV and Red Med, to create a pop-up dining experience not to be missed.
This culinary opportunity invites diners to be part of an intimate and exclusive evening sampling the food of these fine chefs.
Only 40 seats are available. We will have 2 seating sessions limited to 20 guests in each seating. To better serve you, guests will be seated during each session in 15 minute intervals. See below:
Chef Tagnipez and Chef Rodriguez have fashioned a menu highlighting their talents as well as the freshest ingredients of the season.
(4 courses or optional *5 courses including Halibut)
Asparagus soup, creme fraiche, chanterelles, and walnut oil
Salad of watercress, poached pear, honey gastrique, hazelnuts, goat cheese
*Halibut, roasted cauliflower, marcona almonds, golden raisins, cured egg yolk (add $15)
Ribeye steak, onion confit, pommes aligot, salsa verde
72% Araguani cream, coffee cremeux, mascarpone ice cream, chocolate pate a choux
4 courses $60 per person
5 courses $75 per person (includes Halibut course)
